Infectious teens Look See Proof are on the cusp of something very special - recently completing a full-scale UK tour in support of ridiculously brilliant single 'Singles The New Together', they're playing with The Gossip next month and heading to Brighton for the massive Great Escape knees-up. We sat down for a cup of tea with Lee and Jase from the band.

Tell us how you boys 'got it together'.

Jase: "Me and Dave knew each other previously, always liked the same sort of music and had for a while and talked about playing together. We played in a garage a couple of times with his friend, then he left and Lee came to a couple of practices and it worked well. Jon actually replied to an ad in a phone box."

Lee: "We all wrote our first single 'Tell Me, Tell Me, Tell Me' at our first practise and all started along to get along nicely!"

Your new single's out now and it's very very good. Tell us a bit about the song. We've been humming it a lot.

J: "It was the second song we ever wrote, sometime last year, February I think. It's just about what a lot of people go through when they're arguing or breaking up with a partner."

L: "Thanks!, we worked with 2 great producers for this single, as we wanted a different approach on each song. On the day of recording 'Discussions' Dave and I had the sick bug that was going around. We couldn’t stop being sick. We then recorded 'Singles The New Together' a week later when we recovered. There was a great vibe around the studio when recording it, it came out much dancier and the ideas that were put across really worked, we're very happy with it."

Tell us the most ridiculous song you enjoy listening to when you're in your tourbus/car.

J: "Well Dave’s a bit partial to a bit of Blink 182!"

L: "Hmm.. can't say that we have any ridiculous songs, but that's something to invest in. At the moment we just have mixtapes of bands."

Supermarket Sweep is coming back soon with Dale Winton presenting. Which 90s TV show would you like to see returning to our screens? We'd opt for either 'You Bet' or 'Noel's House Party'.

J: "Defo Fun House... I always wanted to go on that!"

L: "Noel's House Party!"

You've just finished a big tour. Were you shitting yourselves before you started it?

J: "No because we drew straws and me and Jon were driving... which meant Dave couldn’t, which meant we had a chance of making it back alive."

L: "Erm... we were slightly but we also couldn’t wait to get out on our first tour!"

We like the look of your video. What on earth are you doing in those boxes/sitting at a table?

J: "Box car racing! And playing cards which turns into polaroids like normal."

L: "It's all very random, but the whole idea of the video is stop motion."

Imagine we're Tim Westwood and you can give a 'shout out' to another band.

J: "Big up to The Runners cos they got game and ain't no player
haters!"

L: "This one’s to our mates The Runners who we love gigging with and getting messy with, the drummer’s just as messy as ours. These guys are awesome and everyone should go check them out now."
