This is surreal. It starts off entirely sensible; there's the drums, guitars, then there's the vocals. Wait, what?
"If you don't give my football back/I'm gonna get my Dad on you" whines bizarre Manc musician Jim Noir like a petulant child calling through your newly-smashed window, as everything takes a turn for the peculiar over a backing track that sounds as though it may be the product of a back-seat liaison between The Beach Boys and Gary Numan. Which is, surprisingly, a good thing.
It's strangely summery, in the same way Neapolitan ice cream, sand-fleas and rock pools are - not something you'd ever consider from September to June, but oddly fitting for the time in between.
Just as it's about to get annoying, Noir retreats, shaking his fist and muttering "gonna win it back someday", off to play Knock A Door, or mug pensioners...
Go on with you, you little rascal.
