2008 may just be Look See Proof's year. They've been around for a while now but with an album on the horizon, plenty of ace singles under their belts and being mid-way through an awful lot of touring, things are definitely on the up. Lee Sells (guitar / vox) tells us about it.
Hello Look See Proof! We last interviewed you just after the release of 'Singles The New Together' - how've you been since then?
We've been really good thanks, we've been busy bee's quitting work... being poor!.
You've been playing a lot of tour dates with The Twang recently - are you fans?
We hadn’t heard the album before we went on tour, but since seeing them every night we've become fans. Their live shows are amazing, and they’re really nice guys.
How's the tour going? Tired yet?
It’s going great, everyone having a laugh. It’s great to play to the places we have been, we're pretty tired from sleeping on Travelodge floors but we’re off home for a day off soon!
Your new single is your first on CD, isn't it?
Yeah finally! It’s great to know people can go buy it and actually listen to it, vinyl’s great as it’s more collectable but we’re dead excited to release on CD.
What do you have to do to become a 'Local Hero'?
Save a cat from a burning tree!
Do you have any other releases in the pipeline?
No, we’re just about to start the album end of this year so it should be out sometime next year.
What, so far, has been your highlight of 2007?
Getting on a major tour. It’s one of the most important things for us and we don’t want to stop!
