One Night Only are sure to sell singles, by the truckload most probably. This music serves just that purpose though. It makes people money and to do that it often takes a hypnotically dull song from a frankly average band. Now originality is not everything, and a catchy pop song deserves merit, so on second thoughts One Night Only are more than likely to be here to stay.

This track hits every formulaic necessity of a modern indie single. Ramshackle guitars, fruity bits of keyboard, and shouty bits where you and your mates all join in are all out in force. The lead singer also has a rather charming voice, like a male siren for the MTV2 generation, in a way.

This single will be played to death on radios up and down the country, and people with love it. Which at the end of the day has to be a good thing. It is a shame though that sometimes people only like the music that is shoved down their throats.
