Having promised so much in 2006 with his debut album, ‘The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager’, 'Find The Time' shows that Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly seems to be suffering the familiar ‘second album blues’. With this new single for his new album, ‘Searching For The Hows And Whys’, Get Cape has increased instrumentation and slightly varied his style. However with this gain goes the warmth and passion showed in his previous releases.
'Find The Time' is bland. Without a doubt it will feature well on the charts however that does not mean that it is any good. In fact, it is radio-friendly consumerist rubbish churned out and destined to be an irritating soundtrack for various advertising schemes. 'Find The Time' has no depth whatsoever and barely develops beyond its simple melody. It is not original and extremely predictable. The only mildly positive factor is Sam Duckworth’s ghostly vocals. This shows a positive continuation from ‘Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager’.
This just doesn't meet expectations and fans will be left cold and disappointed by it. Sam Duckworth recently toured Britain playing in fans’ houses showing an intimate ‘back to basics’ approach. However with this change, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly seems to have lost his passion.
