With this single, The More Assured have matched their reputation. The ska-tinged 'You Do It Pretty Well' is instantly memorable, not least for singer Alex Berger’s impressive vocals. The use of strings shows a new direction for The More Assured, and they fulfil the potential of this well. The guitar’s chord progressions mix well with superb harmony, courtesy of bassist Slinky Sunbeam, stand out in 'You Do It Pretty Well', again proving that The More Assured have substance behind their tabloid-drawing stunts.
'I Wanna Be A Sex Offender' is such juxtaposition to 'You Do It Pretty Well'. The rapid guitars combine well with their instantly memorable lyrics.
