Make Model have been given much attention in the past year; however this new release does not justify it. Their sound is neither original nor impressive. With resonant synths and hard hitting drums, it has the feel of an anthem in the middle. However, it just does not surpass expectations of the band. It may be powerful but it does not shine in such competitive music industry.

The lyrics show Make Model’s darker side. "I don’t want them hanging around / I don’t need them bringing me down" referencing the ASBO-worthy culture. It is a deserved dig at the present youth society and this brings together their fans, helping them to ease their frustrations at the destructive nature of society.

Make Model are understandably angst - ridden, and this may help alleviate it, but their fans and critics alike should recognise that this release does not show the band at their best whatsoever. Make Model have made it clear that they do not want to be put in with the indie, shoegaze scene, but if they are going to be sure of this, they need to show many more differences to that particular scene.
