By Radiohead's standards, 'In Rainbows' was ever so slightly disappointing, but you have to applaud their ability to step away from the mainstream sound and create original music - often with fantastic results.
'Nude', a reworking of a track created a decade ago, is just that - original and fantastic. While lacking the hook of tracks in 'The Bends', or the creative guitar work of 'OK Computer' songs, it is unmistakably Radiohead. Thom Yorke's ever impressive voice dominates a slow, quiet track; drenched with reverb, strings and the sort of noises that only Radiohead can manage to use to their advantage.
It's a refreshing single, that restores your hope that maybe good music hasn't completely disappeared.
