Radiohead and V Festival aren't the kind of bed fellows you'd usually expect to find snuggled up together come mid-August. One, now major label free, an almost radically anti-establishment force, the other the most corperate of the Summer's entertainment. To say things could go either way is somewhat of an understatement.

Radiohead do have the kind of songs that can keep the masses happy, but they came a long time ago. These days it's electronic experimentation all the way, with tracks that sound like decomposing laptops stuck in a septic think tank. Both amazing in their own way, it'd be fair to say that the crowd tonight want 'Creep'. If they don't get it, there'll be a riot.

Thankfully, Thom and co don't disappoint. Finding somewhat of a halfway house, there's no way they can entirely drop their genre pushing ambitions, but the hits are there.

From classics like 'My Iron Lung', 'The Bends' and 'No Surprises', to the more recent offerings like '2+2=5', which at it's climax sends things proper mental, it's as easy as Radiohead get.

Starting well is one thing, finish stronger is another. 'There There', 'Just', 'Karma Spolice' and 'Street Spirit' are one thing, the afore mentioned 'Creep' quite another. Job done.
