Britney meets Glee: She & Him
Come on, admit it you grumpy bastards. You like She & Him. They make flirty pop tunes that can't help but spread smiles. They're the folk duo from heaven if heaven got hipsterised.
You like them even though the video for 'In the Sun' plays on everything you ever tried to hate about She & Him. There's highschool nostalgia - basically Glee meets Britney for indie kids - cute little dresses, cuter pumps, hula hooping, clapping and sick-making winks from the fringed one. Ward skulks around, screaming "Yeah I get to hang with THIS! Suck on it!" and some dancers dance like we used to when we were 10. That sun move is a classic.
Single is out 29th March via the internet and comes with a nice cover of The Beach Boys' 'I Can Hear Music'.

Offset: Words and Pictures

Crocodiles give away an EP. How kind.
Recorded as they finished the album sessions, "Fires of Comparison" sees the band slow down with mellow atmospherics. It's probably because they were a bit tired but - ever the rock and rollers - the band blame it on sharing a pipe with a San Diego hobo.

Offset Festival 2010: It’s Here!
If you've ever wanted to go to a festival with a great mix of new bands to discover and established ones to say "remember when..." with, you couldn't ask for a better one than Offset. It's in Hainault Park near London, and, with only one night of camping, it's less like the Reading Somme more like an off-piste episode of Skins.
