Chaotic Keys: Rainbow Arabia & Pictureplane

Rainbow Arabia

Rainbow Arabia remixes have been floating around the internet for a few months now so it's kind of nice that they've gathered them all together into one neat little package.

Well, we say neat.

The band specialise in messy electronic pop. Samples are splayed from onto ambient backdrops and jump unpredictably amongst sets of pumping vocals. Influenced by music from all over the world, that is glitchy takes on traditional rhythms, their Lebanese Casio works hard creating sounds that are alien to a lot of listeners.

Another artist who isn't shy of upsetting the order, Denver's Pictureplane remixes the band below. He gives Kabukimono an uplifting sheen under the guise of Negative Slave.

1. Kabukimono – Pictureplane negative slave rework
2. Pictureplane (Rainbow Arabia Heliopolis remix)
3. Holiday in Congo (Mexicans with Guns)
4. Haunted Hall (We Are The World-Happy ghost remix)
5. The Field – Sequenced (Rainbow Arabia’s Dark & Dumb Version)
6. Rainbow Arabia – Holidays In Congo (Myd Remix)
7. Omar K (Max Justus Remix)
8. The Basta (Secret Circuit’s Bombs over Echo Park)
