Comeback: Stereolab

Stereolab

If you have never listened to Stereolab before we suggest you do. Over 20 years they've made some of the best electronic albums you'll ever hear (the Kraut-Lounge of 'Peng!' to Jim O'Rourke produced 'Sound-Dust'), EPs ('Ping Pong' is one of the best pop songs ever) and compilations and rarities that collect the lot of it together ('Refried Ectoplasm', 'Oscillations from the Anti Sun' and the 'Miss Modular Remixes' = phwoar). Now they're releasing a new album. Recorded at the same time as 2008's 'Chemical Chords' , 'Not Music' will be 12 new songs, including a mix from Bradford Cox as Atlas Sound.

We guess it will make it feel like you're sipping campari in a 50s bar, sunning on the riviera or sashaying ala Jean Seberg in a French disco. In short, they're still as cool as fuck.

Buy: Oscillons from the Anti-Sun (2005), Duophonic/Too Pure

Release: 'Not Music' is released on November 16th 2010 through Duophonic UHF Disks
