Dirty Beaches filters summer through urban landcapes and sandstorms on his new single. Rather than short-shorts and whistles, "Golden Desert Sun" is cloaked in weirdness and uncertain melody. A half there riff feels its way through the unsettling distortions and bleary eyed vocals. It's as if the pavement is melting and a small voice is crying "I've lost my raybans".
