There isn't anything subduedly suburban about Tim Presley's White Fence. Whether he's tearing another one at a show or lounging in the back garden with a beer his debut record, out on Make a Mess now, is a constant surprise.

It's pop yarns mixed with meandering americana and the odd fuzzy garage jam. Each tune is a bad boy, whether it's dosed with reverb or a lolling track that wouldn't sound out of place on a Gorky's Zygotic Mynci record [even if you're more like likely to find him with The Strange Boys or TLC].
