Class Act: Fiction

If Fool's Gold are a bit too weird and Fair Ohs a tad too punk rock, you need to hear Fiction, the UK's newest slightly tropical and really pop four piece. Swapping shorts, sandals and lots of body hair for sharp suit jackets and fancy quiffs* they make equally smart snappy songs with frantic choruses and downbeat ballads with the surprising throbs of drums [go on, listen to To Stick To].

In fact, it's that often overlooked bit of kit that makes them what they are. The band's vocalists and drummers swap places - they've got two of them who stand up a la the current fashion - turning keyboard tunes into something a bit more special.

*this means you could take them home to your mum.

The band will release ‘Curiosity’ on May 10th, you can pre-order the single from www.offset.bigcartel.com.
