Flash Delirium: MGMT

In the video for 'Flash Delirium' MGMT poke fun at the, 'combeack' phenomenon, the fact that they're seen as Brooklyn Rich Kids and um, Naked Lunch? It's hard on the indie rock frontline...
Set in a fancy looking house, the Andreas Nilsson directed short is a party where anything can happen. A standard lunch - with war veterans, hippies and ventriloquist dummies - takes a sinister OTT twist. Following a series of dance routines, it's revealed that Ben has been taken over by an eel that, accompanied by the jangliest pop bit of the single, needs to be fed into some crazy battery thing.
Chaos erupts, things fall down and the video cuts into a number of bizarre clips of evil housewises, tripping dolls and nuclear war. But you know what? People are still dancing. Yeah, 'Flash Delirium' is mad but MGMT are still about moving your feet.
MGMT release 'Congratulations' on Monday 12th April. It's available to preview on the band's website, http://www.whoismgmt.com/, now.
P.S Somebody being possessed by a slimy creature is one of my nightmares so I won't be watching it again. The rest of you. Enjoy.
