Foot Village

Foot Village start the UK bit of the Anti Magic//Pro Creation Tour today with a London show at Barden's Boudoir. Formed sometime three albums ago using members of Gang Wizard, Friends Forever and the International Voice of Reason, the decision to rely completely on freaky drum patterns wasn't forced and it isn't a gimmick. There are no guitars, no electronic manipulators, just skin and noise. How else would they fit in the van?

The record, released on Upset The Rhythm earlier this year, has some of the best artwork we've seen in ages. Naked and members are superimposed on to a dusty landscape like some kind of post apocalyptic tribe. Like their prints, their music is manic; and like their music they are more- than-fierce on stage. The band describe it as "a war in opposition to magic and spirituality. A record about resistance to the heathen hordes of sorcerers, prophets and pretenders".

Expect drums, dangerous limb movements and howling."Burn us or Believe Us, we are returning to scream and drum" they say.
