Gala Drop

September is here, carnival is over, festivals are squashing empty cans and dance fans are rolling up their vomit stained tents for another year. But hey, that's no reason to write off a perfectly good summer party band. Endorsed by Animal Collective but inspired as much by Lisbon's Loosers (they share a member) as Panda Bear's move to the country, Gala Drop's swampy squelches and jungle rhythms remind us of the times we've danced in the fading sun. Coupled with experimental slow downs and krauty touches, it's getting us ready for the inevitable slow slink back into the clubs.

Gala Collective release a new 4 song EP in September with Golf Channel Recordings and Gala Drop Records. They play with Teengirl Fantasy, Avey Tare and Panda Bear in the coming months.
