Happy Particles

Between the ages 14-18 I wanted to live in Glasgow. Thanks to Belle and Sebastian, I was convinced that it was a town where all the boys were gorgeous cardigan wearers with sweet soft accents and beautiful thick hair. They read books but still liked playing football in the park.

Happy Particles make me want to move their again. Their soft slacker drawls, under War on Drugs style shimmers and restrained orchestrations of melancholy era Smashing Pumpkins, are the perfect counterpoint to the city's (equally brilliant) harsher sounds. It's what Divorce, Ultimate Thrush and Dam Mantle listen to with a cup of tea after they've been terrifying the neighbours.

Plus there are 6 guys in the band. Good odds on a cardigan fittie?

Download Infinite Jet Below. They play Nice N Sleazys on 19th September.
