IO Echo

Don't judge a band by their fringes so the wise saying goes and that's definitely the best approach with Io Echo, a rambunctious pop duo birthed somewhere in LA and now making a living London. Despite their "hip" credentials - Leopold Ross only has half a head of hair and plays bass for the Big Pink and Ioanna Gika has lots of hair no face - they mix the sassiness of our favourite rockstars (PJ Harvey and Blondie FYI) with songs full of echos, whistles and proper gnarling guitar.

Forget the fact their opening for The Drums (not really our cup of tea) next week too. We think you're going to really like 'em.
