Suffering Jukebox: Milk Maid

Milk Maid

The nice gentleman with his hand down his pants is [perhaps] Milk Maid, the latest fuzzy pop band to come slacking out of Manchester. Currently the proud owner of a collection of 10 tender tracks, he/they/she/whatever mixes the front porch dustiness of Kurt Vile and Cass McCombs with the sweaty bored-teen finish of lots of your favourite rock bands. They release their first 7" with new label/DJ night Suffering Jukebox in the summer but for now we've got 'Not Me', a dip into the band's sound and the reaction that this picture will probably get.

Milk Maid play with Titus Andronicus, Smith Westerns and Male Bonding in the next couple of months.

24 May 2010 The Ruby Lounge w/ Titus Andronicus Manchester
2 Jun 2010 Nation of Shopkeepers w/ Smith Westerns Leeds
10 Jun 2010 Sound Control w/ Male Bonding Manchester
