A ramshackle record studio? Inspiration from a poem? Wild weather conditions? Yep, it's moody goth pop from a warbler in the USA. This time our doom-tider is Californian resident Gaby Graves who, let's not judge by nail polish alone, has crafted some impressive sparse-ballads as Glass Graves on "Architecture".

Parachutes' muscular vocals are worth a listen and a brief sparking of synths (Sister Dream), subtle layering (Mess of Live Vines) and barking mood swings (The Twin) are enough to remind you that this isn't just for people who never got over reading Goosebumps.
