Australia gets a bad rap when it comes to bands. Even New Zealand, which is much smaller at just 270,500 sq. km, has Flying Nun records with bands like The Clean to represent them.

This duo, now based in Adelaide, could go a little way to change that (or at least provide an alternative to the common misconception that the down under its all girls-from-neighbours singing sexy dance music). Aligning themselves with the city's "Tweed Pop" scene but mixing an 80s guitar shuffle with moody vocals, they sound a lot more lo-fi disco, or beachcomingly glitz than a reference to a vintage bit of material may suggest.
