Oxbow

Oxbow, sometimes known as The Oxbow and sometimes typeset as OX_BOW are San Francisco avant garde-ists best known for putting on absolutely uncontrollable live shows. Legend has it that the lead singer once pulled a heckler out of the crowd, threw him in a headlock and screamed a whole set into his face. 20 years in - and albums with titles as downright charming as 1989 debut Fuckfest and 1995's Let Me Be A Woman - the band have transformed into an experimentalist fight club. Only they're using sheer power, not synths. Greg Holland captured the insanity at the band's Manchester show.
