Holy Brian Wilson! Did anyone know that Starbucks, y'know that dogshite corporate monster, named after the pious, thoughtful and intelligent first mate in the great american novel Moby Dick, now do a variety of fruit smoothies with a shot of expresso in them? Quite literally the best thing ever!

Also high on todays list of 'the best things ever' is Shannon and the Clams. A kitsch and bellowing and garagey three piece that harks back towards the girl vocal groups of the sixties. They hail from the concrete ghettoes of Oakland, CA (pretty much the Coventry of California) and they have their debut record 'I wanna go home' out on the punk as fuck 1-2-3-4 Go! Records (which Shannon actually works in the store of).

Fast, fun and female fronted Shannon and the Clams rate pretty highly on a scale of one to awesome.
