Tristram

Break out the sou'wester jacket and batten down the hatches folk fans, it's time for Tristram, a band that take sea shanties and turn them into off-kilter pop songs. Based in London but born in Brighton, they call it folk meets post rock, we call it being pretty bloody good at mixing lush strings with moments of soft and almost bare sound. Unsurprisingly, if you follow this type of thing, the band includes members of Peggy Sue and The Mariners Children.
