London: Fuck The Whiteboard?

The concepts that people dream up for club nights and discos never fail to amaze. For example, take Fuck The Whiteboard, who have been putting on club nights since February 2009. They were born from a photo blog of people holding a white board with "witty" comments on. Weird... Still, however strange the concept, they've managed to put on some great bands and host a stage at Lovebox.With one of their most exciting shows to date planned for this Friday, Neu spoke to promoter Russ Tannen about why everyone in London should want to Fuck The Whiteboard.

"Two of the most mysterious and illusive artists currently streaming from the blogosphere will appear at this Friday's Fuck the white Board at the Macbeth. Hype Williams prefer to shy away from the spotlight while creating some of the most forward thinking and exciting music we've heard this year. Vondelpark have rarely been seen live (in fact this could well be their first live show?) but have created a sensational amount of well deserved 'buzz', impressive considering an online search will lead you to a public park in Holland or an article on Vice. Both operate in similar relms, experimenting with loops and samples while colliding the old and the new to produce blissful modern dance music. DJ set's also come from Night Slugs future 2-step prodigy Jam City, and the glorious Visions of Trees. Big Right?"
