Sun Ra Arkestra

The Sun Ra Arkestra takes up residency at Cafe Oto again this month. Now without Sun Ra himself, the jazz mavericks [ they were one of the first outfits to use electric bass, keys, and polyrhythms) will play at the Dalston venue on the 12th, 13th and 14th April.

Under the direction of Marshall Allen, with Charles Davis (tenor sax), Fred Adams (trumpet), Michael Ray (trumpet), KNoel Scott (vocal, saxes), Yah Yah Abdul-Majid (tenor sax), Danny Ray Thompson (baritone sax), Dave Davis (trombone), Dave Hotep (electr. guitar), Elson Nascimento (perc, surdo), Juini Booth (bass) and Wayne Anthony Smith jr. (drums)it promises to be an explorational three days in an unusually small space.

Tickets are now sold out but there will be some available on the door so go down early to get some.
