Friday March 5th: Dirty Bingo with La Shark

It's Dirty Bingo's second party of the year this Friday. Hooray! Fair Ohs and friends got tropical back in February and with La Shark, Fiction and The Homosexuals on board things it'll be even hotter in March.
Here's what they say..
New Cross gypsy punks La Shark headline the night bringing their ramshackle genius to Mile End in full on Technicolor. Their decadent orchestral folk has caught the eye of BBC 6Music and Paloma Faith who is taking them on board for her UK tour. Should be a riot, we know there’s a lot of them and we know they make a lot of noise.
Fiction glow, hum and fizz with their thudding bass-lines. For a band driven by layers of sound and precise drum beats they are actually loads of fun, big pop tunes dominate and despite some fairly unhinged lyrics you’ll still be moving along. Offset are releasing their first single in the spring, Huw Stephens loves them, Dummy mag and Loud & Quiet love them and so do we.
Post punk legends The Homosexuals have plaudits everywhere you look. Pitchfork are fans (their album hitting 8.4 in the best new music section) probably cause their lead singer Bruno Wizard has undoubtedly the finest name in garage rock. They have played everywhere you can imagine and now they’re playing for us.
So come one, come all to The Victoria on Grove Road this Friday. It'll be great and is only FIVE POUNDS.
