Team Love Records

You might not have heard about Team Love but you will have heard of one of its head honchos. Formed in Brooklyn in 2003, half of the label is none of other than Conor Oberst. Yep, good old Conor was fed up with releasing 'new talent' slowly and decided to take the plunge with his own label. Along with Nate Krenkel and now Becka they looked at digital music, decided to release their mp3s for free and put out real records by the likes of Jenny Lewis, Tilly and the Wall, Gruff Rhys and more recently, A Weather and Midnight Masses. As the main force behind DC/CA Slumberland records he's navigated the changing tastes of the underground through the shoegaze inspired DC-ers Velocity Girl and Kurt Heasley's Lily's to the powerful whirl of Pains for Being Pure at Heart and Brilliant Colors.
