Atelier Ciseaux Release: Best Coast & Jeans Wilder
French label Atelier Ciseaux have a great new 7" featuring two of late 2009's favourites Bethany Cosentino's Best Coast and ex Fantastic Magic man Andrew Caddick aka Jeans Wilder. Proving that they don't just make summer-vibes tunes, the two tracks are languid love letters to sixties pop and heart crashing encounters in the depth of winter. The understated skank of 'Tough Guys' matches up perfectly with Bethany's languid midnight drawl on 'Up all Night'.
With both artists set for a busy 2010 this release catches them in a lull before a SXSW driven storm. It's limited to 350 copies and comes with tropical dream artwork by Jérémy Perrodeau.
