Sleep All Day Records

We roused the lazy bones at Sleep All Day Records to answer some questions about love and admiration, what he's looking forward to next year and why he'll never work with a band with a bad 'tude.

I got into releasing records because

I wanted to put out bands that I truely love and admire.

I believe that

Weezer will one day release an album as good as the 'Blue' album.

I hate that

Weezer will probably never release another album as good as the 'Blue' album.

I love that

I run Sleep All Day totally on my own and have no one to answer too.

I would never release a record by a band if

They totally sucked but had a bad attitude.

But I'll always want to release a band's record if

They slay and are awesome people. One of the best thngs about running a label is the amazing friends you make along the way.

The easiest decision I've had to make is

What bands iIve wanted to work with.

I hope that

In years to come, people will still put on a Sleep All Day Records release on their record player and enjoy it!

The new stuff that I love is

Putting out tapes on SAD's little brother imprint 'Sleepy King Cassettes', Deerhunter's new single, Byrds of Paradise (total dudes), all the other bands on Sleep All Day, my boys in Not Cool, Marshall Teller records, Suplex Cassettes,

The old stuff that I love is

A: Metallica (always), Lou Christie and the Tammys, Microcastle/Weird Era cont.. by Deerhunter. Harley, Puff and Beetle. (our house rabbits and guinea pig)

When I'm not fiddling about with records I like to

A: Play drums in Weird Dreams and Cheatahs

I'm excited about

A: Releasing more records / tapes.
